Polish Glia Network

The inaugural meeting of the Polish Glia Network will bring together researchers working on glial biology across Poland. The aim of the meeting is to integrate the community, present current research directions and techniques, and discuss the next steps towards the formal establishment and future activities of the Polish Glial Biology Society / Polish Glia Network.


Inaugural meeting of the Polish Glia Network

We are pleased to announce the first organizational meeting of researchers involved in establishing the Polish Glial Biology Society / Polish Glia Network.

The meeting will take place on 28–29 September 2026 at Łukasiewicz – PORT, Wrocław, hosted by the P4Health Centre, Stabłowicka Street 147, 54-066 Wrocław. The event will have an inaugural and networking character, bringing together researchers in Poland who study glial cells in health and disease.

The main goals of the meeting are to integrate the Polish glial biology community, present current research directions and methodological approaches, and discuss the next steps towards the formal establishment and future activities of the Polish Glia Network.




The programme will include invited lectures on European glial initiatives and collaboration, short presentations by group leaders from different Polish institutions, and a discussion session devoted to future plans, joint initiatives, and the development of the Network.

The meeting is scheduled to start on Monday, 28 September, at around 13:00 and finish on Tuesday, 29 September, at around 14:00. Thanks to the support of the host institution, no registration fee is required.
