P4Health’s mission was built on the premise that the most complex problems in biomedicine cannot be solved by any single institution. The center’s scientific and strategic partnerships bring together expertise in clinical oncology, spatial biology, AI-assisted analysis, disease modeling, and translational psychiatry from three countries.
Łukasiewicz – PORT (Coordinator)
Łukasiewicz – PORT — Łukasiewicz Research Network — PORT Polish Center for Technology Development — is the coordinating institution of P4Health and the organization within which the center operates. Based in Wrocław at 147 Stabłowicka Street, PORT is one of Poland’s largest research and development centers, active across life sciences, materials engineering, environmental technology, and diagnostics.
PORT leads BBMRI.pl (Poland’s national biobanking consortium, linked to BBMRI-ERIC) and has been developing its life science infrastructure since 2018. P4Health operates as an independent organizational unit within PORT’s structure, with its own scientific governance, international advisory boards, and dedicated research teams.

King’s College London (KCL) — United Kingdom
King’s College London is one of the world’s leading research universities, with particular strength in medicine, biomedical science, and clinical research. KCL’s Cancer Centre—part of Guy’s Cancer Centre at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust—is the primary collaborative unit for P4Health’s oncology work.
KCL contributes expertise in spatial transcriptomics, AI-assisted histopathological analysis, biobanking best practices, and patient and public involvement. Its Integrated Cancer Centre provided the model for P4Health’s clinical and biobanking workflows. Through KCL, P4Health gains access to collaborative opportunities with Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research, and to KCL’s King’s Entrepreneurship Institute—a resource for technology transfer and spin-off development.

Centre Européen de Recherche en Biologie et en Médecine (CERBM) — Strasbourg, France
CERBM is the applied research arm of the Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire (IGBMC) in Strasbourg—one of Europe’s leading life science research centers. CERBM brings three specific capabilities to P4Health.
First, CERBM’s GenomEast facility—a partner of the French National Research Infrastructure France Genomics—provides genomics services including single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics under ISO 9001 and NF X 50-900 quality standards. Second, CERBM hosts PHENOMIN ICS, the world’s first dedicated Mouse Clinic, offering specialized translational research services and generation of genetically modified animal models. Third, CERBM’s long-standing culture of industry engagement, commercialization, and startup creation—supported by SATT Conectus and BioValley—informs P4Health’s strategy for building industry liaisons and launching biomedical spin-offs.

Lower Silesian Center for Oncology, Pulmonology, and Hematology
Our collaboration with the hospital involves the collection of biological materials from patients with ovarian cancer, as well as joint research on mechanisms of treatment resistance, the tumor microenvironment, and prognostic and predictive biomarkers.
